The Prayerful Word - April 20

  • 1 Corinthians 15:20 Christ has indeed been raised from the dead.

Philippians 4:20 To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Psalm 42:5 Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Philippians 4:13 I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me.

1 Chronicles 29:11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O LORD, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.

2 Corinthians 3:17 …and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

May the Lord give you all the territory He has promised you, as you move out in faithful obedience to His guidance and direction, to occupy and overcome by His strength and strategy, that you may have rest on every side, just as He has said, for not one of your spiritual enemies can withstand you when the Lord hands them over to you, because not one of all of the Lord's promises will fail, but will all be fulfilled. Joshua 22

May you be very careful to keep the commands and the ways of the Lord that you have been given: to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to obey His commands, to hold fast to Him and to serve Him with all your heart and all your soul. Joshua 22

May you understand that, though sin is immediately forgiven when repented of, others are affected and the lingering results must be walked out. Joshua 22

Remain alert, My child, and watch with the alertness of a sentry who knows the enemy is close. Watch with the confidence of one who knows the wiles and tricks of the enemy, and has been trained and equipped to recognize the attack and defeat it.
Watch with the assurance that others are near and will come to your aid if numbers are overwhelming and you need to raise the alarm. But watch also your heart, My brave one, lest whispers from the dark distract you and turn your attention elsewhere, leaving a gap in the hedge of protection around the camp.
Walk in the steadfast truth of My Word and the vigorous life of My Spirit, My vigilant one, ever practicing My Presence and acknowledging Me in prayerful conversation.
Keep My armor in place with sword and shield at the ready, for the lusts of the carnal heart wage war against your soul just as the wickedness of spiritual darkness seeks to devour you in the spirit.
Do not lose faith, My dear one, but know that I faced every attack that the enemy has when I walked the earth, and I defeated the foe thoroughly; therefore, when temptation comes, I can show you the weakness, the lie in what he says, the opening for the Sword of the Word to overcome and defeat the destruction the evil one wishes to cause in your life and the lives of those I have brought to you to love.
I have come to save My people from their sins, be they past habits, present weaknesses, things constantly seen and heard, or secret, sudden and surprising temptations. Let not your heart be troubled, for I have overcome the world and conquered death, hell, and the grave.
Walk alertly, My warrior, that you may walk in My victory as one who has overcome.

May you honestly answer the questions the Lord asks of you, for then you will know the answers to the questions you have for Him. Luke 20

May you recognize and respect the servants of your King so that you may receive with grace and honor the Son Whom the Father loves. Luke 20

May you accept in humility the authority of the Lord as the capstone, allowing your pride to be broken on Him, and rely in weakness on the support of the Lord as the keystone, allowing your self-sufficiency to be ground to a powder. Luke 20

May you sing of the Lord's great love forever and make known His faithfulness to all generations, for His love stands firm forever and His faithfulness is established in heaven itself. Psalm 89

May you declare the Lord's wonders in the immensity of the heavens and His faithfulness among the multitudes of His saints, for He is greatly feared in the council of the holy ones and is more awesome than all who are found around Him, the mighty One, Whose faithfulness surrounds Him. Psalm 89

May you gain the grace and compassion which comes from a good understanding of the deep things of God, for a person with good sense is respected and one with keen insight wins favor, but the harsh conduct of the unfaithful never changes and the treacherous lifestyle of the scorner leads to ruin in the pit of destruction. Proverbs 13:15
