The Prayerful Word - April 27

  • Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

James 1:26 If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless.

2 Timothy 2:4 No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs – he wants to please his commanding officer.

Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider {and} give attentive, continuous care to watching over one another, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love {and} helpful deeds {and} noble activities, 25 Not forsaking {or} neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Ephesians 2:19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of His household.

May you be able to see and understand, that when God reduces your resources, you will get the victory and He will receive the glory. Judges 7

May you come to realize that if you are fearful and not trusting God, or if you pridefully trust in your own strength and are not dependent on God, He will do His work through other vessels. Judges 7

May you worship God and give Him praise on the occasion of each blessing and every event that encourages your faith and deepens your trust in Him. Judges 7

May you rejoice that the surpassing greatness of the glory and power of God which brings light to the lives of men is contained in your earthen vessel, your jar of clay, and be glad when the Lord brings you to the breaking point to release the riches of His Spirit and His Word. Judges 7

May you have the wisdom of God to respond in humility and meekness before unjust accusations. Judges 8

May you be willing to respond to a call for help from your brothers and fellow-workers in the harvest, providing the support and encouragement needed for the job being done. Judges 8

May you be willing to act upon your belief in the Son of Man rather than give in to the opinions of the crowd or the pressures of secular and religious authorities. Luke 23

May you find tears, not for the suffering and pain Jesus endured, but for your own sin which brought the punishment of God upon Him, and through those tears, receive the joy of salvation that Jesus freely gives to those who turn from the wickedness of evil ways to follow Him. Luke 23

Come freely, My child, and receive gladly from Me all that you need for every task you face.
Have I not given you the day today? Have I not preordained that you should know My will? Have I not already paid the price and covered the cost, even from the foundation of the world, for all that you need?
Am I not already, in eternity, the One Who authored, created, planted your faith and have watched over it, encouraging you with words and signs and deeds to make your faith grow and prosper?
Have I not declared that I will complete that which I start and see through to the end that which I have ordained, right down to the very last detail and the smallest issue, putting the final polish and finish to it?
Why hesitate, My needy one? Do you still trust your own strength? Do you fear rebuke and reproof? Do you feel unworthy?
Look into My love and let it melt your fear, dissolving it; learn from what I have done to understand how much I value you. Remember where you have come from and recognize the broken cistern that you try to draw from.
Drink deeply from My springs, My love, and never feel want again.

May you be glad and rejoice with the distant shores that the Lord reigns, for the heavens proclaim His righteousness and all the peoples see His glory. Psalm 97

May you hate evil as do all those who love the Lord, for He guards the lives of His faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked, shedding light on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart so that all who are righteous will rejoice in the Lord and praise His holy name. Psalm 97

May you hear and rejoice, as do all those who are glad because of the judgments of the Lord, for He is the Most High over all the earth and is exalted far above all gods. Psalm 97

May you sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have worked salvation for Him, making known His salvation and revealing His righteousness to the nations, for He has remembered His love and His faithfulness to His people and all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of God. Psalm 98

May you shout for joy to the Lord, along with all the earth, bursting into jubilant song with music from the harp, with trumpets, and the blast of the ram's horn, shouting for joy before the Lord, the King. Psalm 98

May you have the wisdom and shrewdness to discern and understand where you are going, as do the prudent and the sensible, avoiding the deception which is the folly of fools. Proverbs 14:8
