The Prayerful Word - June 7

  • Galatians 6:2 Carry each other’s burdens and so you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Romans 8:26 The Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.

James 2:1 My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don’t show favoritism.

Luke 10:25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

Leviticus 19:17-18 Do not hate your brother in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in their guilt. 18 Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself.

Luke 10:37 Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

May you be strong, take courage, and demonstrate the maturity God has developed in you, that others may see and understand how to walk in His ways and be pleasing to the Lord, for then you will prosper in all you do and wherever you go, according to all that the Lord has promised. 1 Kings 2

May you obey God rather than men as you go and tell the people in the temple courts the full message of this new life. Acts 5

May you be able to rejoice and be happy when God counts you worthy to suffer shame and dishonor for the sake of the Name of Jesus. Acts 5

Have I been so long with you, My child, without you knowing Me? Have you been surprised by what I have done in your life recently?
Do not become complacent in your knowledge or rest on your experience, My dear one, lest you miss out on the lesson which the Holy Spirit is teaching you.
The anointing is given for you to learn from, and to learn of, and to walk in, My studious one, so do not despise the day of small beginnings. I have much to open up to you, both of My word and My kingdom, as well as your heart and your nature.
Do not shrink back, My tender one, for I have appointed My angels, My ministering spirits, My care-givers, to watch over you and keep you in all of your ways. Wait in obedience and walk in humility before the Spirit Who, in wisdom and power, speaks of Me and instructs you in My truth.
Do you not see that the very understanding which increases your faith and brings you authority will also constrain you and limit your choices? When I walked the earth, I could do nothing out from Myself – only what I saw the Father do; nor could I express My opinion or loosely speak careless words – I spoke only what I heard the Father say.
Draw near to Me in prayer, persistently, repeatedly, without losing heart, in confidence, with alertness, that I may bless you with the wisdom of a changed nature and the understanding of an open and renewed heart, devoted and filled with thanksgiving in all circumstances, as your relationship with Me supersedes your concerns for tomorrow.
Release the legalism that your own nature embraces, and learn of the grace that I am pouring out on the earth right now. Soon, the end will come and judgment will be expressed, but do not hurry it, My chosen one. I will return soon enough as the conquering and victorious King, but I remain, up to the last possible minute, the gentle Shepherd gathering the last of the flock in, whosoever will.
Do not scatter My sheep, My eager one, but gently, in the fearful awe of what is to come, draw them in My loving compassion, for so many have been beaten by hirelings with the rod reserved for My enemies rather than comforted by My staff with rescue.
Receive My strength so that you can bring My blessing of peace to those who have known no quiet in their spirit.

May you trust in, lean on and confidently hope in the Lord, for those who persistently and continually do so cannot be shaken or moved but will stand firm and abide forever, for as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so will the Lord surround you, both now and forevermore. Psalm 125

May you be joyfully good and lovingly upright in heart, for the Lord will abundantly bless you, but those who turn to crooked ways will be banished by the Lord with the evildoers, for the scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the uncompromisingly righteous lest the godly be tempted to do wrong. Psalm 125

May you walk in God's wisdom deeply enough to know that the way which appears to be right in your own judgment will, in the end, lead to death. Proverbs 16:25
