The Prayerful Word - June 11

  • Acts 4:11-12 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Romans 6:11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Jeremiah 31:3 Long ago the Lord said to Israel: “I have loved you, My people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to Myself.

Psalm 138:2-3 I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; for You have magnified Your word above all Your name. 3 In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul.

John 8:31b-32 If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

May you praise the Lord, the God of Israel, Who with His own hand will fulfill what He has promised with His own mouth to you. 1 Kings 8

May you honor and worship the Lord, the God of Israel, Who keeps His covenant of love with His servants who continue wholeheartedly in His way, for there is no God like Him in heaven above or on earth below Who keeps His promises, for with His mouth He has promised it and with His hand He has fulfilled it. 1 Kings 8

May you have faith that the Lord forgives and acts, dealing with each of us according to all that we do, since He alone knows the hearts of all men, so that we will reverentially obey Him all the time. 1 Kings 8

May you be assured that the Lord hears your prayer from heaven, His dwelling place, and does whatever you ask of Him so that all the peoples of the earth may know His name and fear Him. 1 Kings 8

May you understand that the Lord hears your prayer from heaven when you are in battle against your enemy, wherever God has sent you, and upholds your cause. 1 Kings 8

May you realize that the Lord's eyes are open to His servant's plea, and the plea of His people, to listen to them whenever they cry to Him for He singled them out from all the nations of the world to be His own inheritance. 1 Kings 8

May you know that the Lord forgives His people who have sinned against Him, forgiving all the offenses we have committed against Him and causes our conquerors to show us mercy, for we are His people and His inheritance, whom He brought out of the iron-smelting furnace. 1 Kings 8

My child, I am not lacking in compassion, grace or mercy. I am slow to anger and I abound in lovingkindness. You see this is true for you have not been dealt with as your sins deserve, nor rewarded according to what your iniquities have earned. Just as a father has compassion on his children, so I have compassion on all who fear Me with respectful obedience and reverential honor.
If you approach Me, your Creator and the possessor of all power and authority, with the reverence of a young child toward its father, in an attitude of love, respect, and adoration for the One in your life Who is ever strong, Who can be stern, and Who is always available and caring, you will find that I have much to reveal and teach to you, for then you will be able to humbly receive and gratefully accept what I offer.
However, if you individuate yourself from your Creator, proclaiming yourself wise enough to make your own choices, strong enough to deal with the circumstances you encounter, and resourceful enough to meet your own needs, I will allow you to make your own way, on your own terms, as you feel proud of your achievements and arrogant toward those younger, weaker, and less capable than you see yourself, as though you had reached the pinnacle of your success through your own ability and understanding, until you come to the inescapable truth of just how dependent you actually are on Me for all your needs.
But know that once you have turned to Me and begun to learn of Me and follow My leading, you will bring much cost to those who do not love Me. Your obedience will upset their plans and obstruct their purposes. They will resent the effect your witness has upon them, and will attack your character, attempting to bring shame and humiliation on you for not standing on your own and for using religion as a crutch.
If you empty yourself, you will not be angered or ashamed, and if you keep your eyes on Me, you will understand that more important than calming their anger is the greater good I bring as I follow up with My Spirit in the lives unsettled by the touch of your obedient pursuit of Me, your Lord and your Master.

May you give praise to the Lord, Who has given rest to you just as He has promised, for not one word has failed of all the good promises He has given. 1 Kings 8

May the Lord your God be with you in power and in presence, never leaving nor forsaking you, but turning your heart to Him to walk in all His ways and to keep the commands, decrees and regulations He has given. 1 Kings 8

May the word you pray before the Lord be near to Him day and night that He may uphold the cause of His servant and of His people according to each day's need, so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God and that there is no other, so long as your heart is fully committed to the Lord your God to live by His decrees and obey His commands. 1 Kings 8

May you be emboldened to proclaim Christ and His salvation as opposition and persecution is mounted against you, for when you are driven from one place, you will find yourself in a new place, and God Himself will watch over His words that you speak to perform them and confirm them in the power of His Spirit. Acts 8

May the Lord cut you free from the cords of the wicked, for in His righteousness those who have oppressed you greatly, even from your youth, will not be allowed to gain the victory over you. Psalm 129

May you be blessed of the Lord, in the name of the Lord, and be as a fruitful harvest and a ripened field of grain which is gathered into the storehouse, for you have loved Zion and sought for the good of the city and the people beloved of God. Psalm 129

May you be more satisfied with a dry morsel if it is available in a peaceable and quiet environment than a full meal in a full house where constant strife is present. Proverbs 17:1
