The Prayerful Word - July 14

  • Galatians 6:7 You reap whatever you sow.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Proverbs 15:32 Whoever ignores instruction despises himself, but he who listens to reproof gains intelligence.

Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Ephesians 5:17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

May your heart desire the best from the Lord, but may your spirit be willing to obey Him, remembering that His ways are not your ways and His thoughts higher than yours. 1 Chronicles 17

May you no longer be oppressed by the wicked as the Lord leads you to the place He will provide for you to live and no longer be disturbed for He will subdue all your enemies. 1 Chronicles 17

May you confess that there is no one like the Lord, and there is no God but Jehovah, Who has gone forth to redeem you for Himself and to make a name for Himself, performing great and awesome wonders by driving out His enemies from before you, whom He has made His very own forever. 1 Chronicles 17

May you not pass judgment on someone else lest you condemn yourself, for you partake the same sinful nature as the one you judge, and when you do, you are rejecting God's goodness, restraint, and long-suffering which leads you to repentance. Romans 2

May you accept all who come your way in the compassion and grace of God which He has bestowed on you, who partake in the same sinful nature as they do, for God's judgment, held in reserve until His chosen time, is based on truth, and if you reject any by judging them unworthy of God's kindness, tolerance and patience which leads to repentance, how will you escape His judgment? Romans 2

Hide away with Me, My child, in your innermost heart as you go about your day discharging your responsibilities, both in the world and with your family. Be shut in with Me in a secret place shedding the world, its cares, and all of its impositions with which it seeks to weigh you down and distract you from turning your eyes upon Me.
Cultivate the process and practice the habit of coming before Me, washed and cleansed in the Spirit and the Word, keeping the door to My presence unblocked and cleared so that when you hear the whisper of the Spirit drawing and inviting you, the way is known and straight, without obstacles, without disorientation.
Just as King David assigned Asaph to lead his brethren and associates in praise and worship before My ark in Jerusalem regularly according to each day's requirements so, too, let My tabernacle be established in your heart before which you can come in thanks, praise, worship and exultation, regardless of what is going on around you.
Pray without ceasing, giving thanks always to Me for all things, knowing in faith that My will shall be established and My Word is greater than circumstances. No matter what happens, when you praise Me in the secret place of your heart, My power is released to bring victory, just as I did at the cross. The events did not change but the result was redemptive for all people, making salvation available.
Just as Paul's trip to Jerusalem caused him to be bound, jailed, taken to Rome, and there killed, through his trust of and praise to Me political and religious leaders heard the Gospel and were touched, and My revelations to him have reached the world for millennia.
That which is done in secret, My child, will not remain hidden; what is whispered in darkness will be proclaimed from the rooftops. Let it be that which will glorify Me, so that your reward may be sure. Worship Me in the stillness and sanctuary of your heart, My child, and you will have My words to speak to others when you need them.

May you seek to dwell with Christ in His glory, abide with Christ in His honor, and live with Christ in His resurrection by patient persistence in continually doing good, not by the strength of your will but by the response of His nature as you allow the Spirit of God to transform you into the image of God's Son. Romans 2

May you walk in the light of the law of God's love, showing and sharing, through your service to each person, the high value He places on them so that by obeying the law written on your heart you may be made right in His sight and receive God's approval. Romans 2

May the Lord, Who is King for ever and causes His enemies to fall, hear the humble desire of the meek and afflicted and, listening to their cry, strengthen their heart in preparation by encouraging them with justice for the fatherless and the oppressed, so that those who are of the earth may terrify them no more. Psalm 10

May the value which God's love places on you motivate you to seek and acquire wisdom and good sense, and may you prosper as you guard and preserve the treasure of your understanding and prudence. Proverbs 19:8

May you testify to the reality of the Lord's miraculous power in your heart, for the person who loves to speak God's truth will have life forever more. Proverbs 19:9
