One Is And Two Are Yet To Be (2)

  • As promised at the end of part 1, we will continue with Ephesians 1:9-20 in this teaching. In this part, we will reveal the mysteries and truths behind these scriptures just as we have in part 1 of this teaching. Remember, it's about us being three part beings. Body, Soul, and Spirit.

God has now revealed to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure.

Notice that God has already revealed the mystery of His will to us. Our spirit knows this mystery. The problem is with our minds.

10 And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth.

11 Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.

Oh oh. Did you see that? Because we are united with Christ, what have we received? Again HAVE RECEIVED, past tense. We received inheritance. Just in case you missed what was said in verse 5, it is repeated here. He chose us in advance.

12 God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God.

13 And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.

When you believed, He identified you as His own. How? By GIVING you the Holy Spirit. Not only did He give you His Holy Spirit, but he sealed His Spirit within us. No mistakes, no sin, no wrong turns in your life can affect the spirit within you. God vacuum packed His Spirit within us so no impurities can attack it or spoil it. 1 John 4:17 says that as Jesus is, so are we in this world.

14 The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.

The Spirit is God’s guarantee that He will keep His promises.

18 I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.

Now Paul in verse 18 doesn’t try to teach you how to beg God for anything. He focuses on the understanding of what we already have and confidence in what He has already provided to us. Then calls us his holy people who are His rich and glorious inheritance.

Do you understand how much importance God places on what He has done for us. He says we are His rich and glorious inheritance.

19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power

20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.

You have the same power that was and is in Christ Jesus. It is not diluted or degraded one bit. It’s the same power that raised Jesus from the dead and it is resident inside of you. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead.

The devil threw everything in his power and all that hell had to try and keep Jesus from being raised from the dead, but Jesus did arise from the dead. It’s that power that resides in you. That’s power. It’s total and ultimate power.

Now everything that’s been stated in this study as truth by these scriptures, your Spirit already knows. The problem is between your ears. Your brain has not been tuned into these truths because of wrong teachings or false religious legalistic rules.

As a three part being; body, soul, and spirit, your spirit is perfect. As soon as your soul gets in line with the truth in your spirit, you will begin to see things differently and find that this stuff is easy. That’s why Paul said what he said in Romans 12:2. Renew your mind to God’s truth and the way He sees things.

How does God see things? He sees all things as being done and He sees we have been given all power and authority to appropriate all that God has done. As you study this teaching, your spirit is bearing witness to all these truths. Now your brain or soul has to yield to these truths so they can become manifest in your life. Your spirit is fully and absolutely redeemed, but your body and soul have not yet been fully redeemed.

Your spirit already knows the mystery of His perfect will (Ephesians 1:9). Your spirit knows all these truths, but we let ourselves focus on the carnal facts surrounding us. Well, I’ll say it again. When the facts meet the truth, the facts have to go. As soon as our minds or souls begin to line up with the truth that our spirits already know, you will see things change. Ephesians 4:23 says “Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes”. King James says be renewed in the spirit of your mind. Again Romans 12:2.

Once again, God placed within you His Spirit when you received His saving grace. It was the same spirit that was and is resident within Jesus and the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. Then he sealed His spirit within you so nothing in anyway could corrupt it or spoil it.

Why would God ever let anything destroy His spirit. So when you sin or make a mistake, it may penetrate your body and give the enemy an opening to attack your health, it may penetrate your soul and give the enemy the opportunity to attack your emotions, but it can never penetrate the perfect Spirit of God within you.

So, One Is and Two Are Yet To Be. Redeemed that is. Get your soul to agree with your Spirit and receive these truths that everything you need is already provided by God and available for you to access. You’ve already got it so quit trying to get it. Simply receive all that God has already provided you. Grace and Peace.
