Crippled by Offenses (2)

  • Now here are those scriptures leading up to verse 17 we talked about in part 1. WOW!!!

    2 Corinthians 5:14-16.

14 You see, the controlling force in our lives is the love of the Anointed One. And our confession is this: One died for all; therefore, all have died.

What’s the controlling force? The church? The Pastor? The lay people? The congregants? The legalists? The rule keepers? NO!!! The love of the Anointed One is the controlling force in our lives.

15 He died for us so that we will all live, not for ourselves, but for Him who died and rose from the dead. 16 Because of all that God has done, we now have a new perspective. We used to show regard for people based on worldly standards and interests. No longer. We used to think of the Anointed the same way. No longer.

He died for us. The world didn’t die for us. That’s why verse 16 says we have a new perspective. No longer do we show regard for people based on worldly standards and interests. NO LONGER. It’s repeated. NO LONGER. Get this straight. It’s is just Jesus and His great love and mercy for us by His grace.

There’s no doubt that people can control themselves through the law by willpower and some are better at this than others. Those are the ones that become more religious than others. They start to measure others based on their ability to keep certain rules through willpower while others cannot exude enough willpower to satisfy them.

Eventually they will crash. Eventually their willpower will fail. That’s why Paul said what he said. The power of sin is in the law. (1 Corinthians 15:56). That’s true and that’s just fine. The problem is, we are not under law but grace. Therefore, the law does not apply and consequently sin has no power over us.

Study Galatians 2:20; Romans 6:7,14; 1 Timothy 1:9. When you do you will discover you are free from the power of sin under grace. So when there is an old behavior that comes up it’s not because the law is still valid in your life. It’s because you haven’t allowed that area of your life to be redeemed by grace.

Some of you are being manipulated by the devil and you think it’s the Spirit convicting you of sin. The problem with this is that the Spirit does not convict you of sin. He convicts you that you are righteous.

It’s the devil manipulating you with condemnation because the law is still alive in you. Not because you haven’t died to the law, but because you haven’t been healed of conditional acceptance or the fear of rejection and performance.

“You cannot give away what you have not received”. If you’ve received no mercy or grace, you can give no mercy or grace. You can have an experience, with no revelation of truth, and get up off the floor unchanged. But if you have a revelation of truth and an experience in that truth revelation, it will change you forever.

In other words, one doesn’t work without the other. Without the Spirit, the letter is dead. The letter brings death, but the Spirit brings life. You can know the truth, but without the Holy Spirit giving it life, it’s dead.

In the same way, an experience with the Holy Spirit absent a revelation of truth is dead also. But a revelation of truth in the experience by the power of the Holy Spirit can only bring life.

Romans 1:25. “They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen”.

They made a bad exchange. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie. The lie they worshipped were the things God made, rather than the God who made them. Like the bible. Let me tick off some religious people right here. They have made a god out of the bible. The book itself has become a god. Let me say that without the Holy Spirit inspiration on the words in the bible, it’s just another book of letters and numbers. It’s simply black or red print on a white background. Like my wife’s grandmother used to say – “Paper does not refuse ink”.

Here’s another problem with the bible. Christians believe the bible is the word of God, they just don’t believe the God in the word. Oh, they read that by His stripes we are healed. Past tense by the way. Yet they go about begging God to heal them. They read that we are set free from the law of sin and death and that Jesus took away ALL our sins. Yet they go around asking God to forgive them of their sins. I thought Jesus took them away? Why are you asking God to forgive what has already been taken away?

Now I’m sure there are some out there that will read this teaching and be offended. You ought to be offended. Not by the truth, but by the religious false teaching you’ve received concerning who you are in Christ, who He is in you and what your inheritance truly is.

If the teaching of the truth offends you, then you need to go back to 2 Corinthians 5:17 and see if you qualify for what is being said there.

Are you united with the Anointed One? If you are then what are you doing giving attention to the old dead person. That person is gone. Old things have passed away, behold ALL things have become new. You are a new creation.

Quit acting like an old “has been” and start living in your true identity and destiny. You are an heir and joint heir with Christ Jesus. Start right now living in that inheritance. The kingdom and all that is in it is yours through Jesus, without any conditions other than that you are united with the Anointed One. Amen. Grace and Peace.
