Let your hope keep you joyful, be patient in your troubles, and pray at all times.
(Romans 12:12 GNT)
If you look at the news today, it is almost too much to bear. We have been told to expect things to get worse before they get better. We have had to completely change our way of doing everyday life. FaceTime, Skype and Zoom meetings are starting to become the norm rather than face-to-face interactions. Air hugs with loved ones are replacing real physical hugs.
It could be very easy to let ourselves move into the realm of fear and anxiety because of so many changes and unknowns, but that is not who we are. Throughout His Word God points to hope. If we place our trust in Him, there is nothing that can come against us and destroy who we are in Him. This is not to say that we won’t have difficulties. But through the difficulties, if we hope and pray for His help, we will get through this.
Now more than ever is our opportunity to shine God’s love and proclaim His message of hope to the world.
“He who sows, even with tears, the precious seed of faith, hope, and love, shall doubtless come again with joy, bringing his sheaves with him, because it is the very nature of that seed to yield a joyful harvest.”
- Richard Cecil
