Our God Is Greater - Part 2

  • Our God Is Greater
    Part 2

The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
    (Psalm 19:1 ESV)
    ps 19 1

During these challenging times, we all have the opportunity to draw closer to God and worship Him. Brad recommend thats you go out on a clear, dark night and observe the heavens and God’s amazing Universe.

Brad worked for NASA for a number of years, and during a portion of that time he oversaw the evaluation of proposals for robotic missions to explore the Solar System and observe the Universe. Each of these missions had to address a set of scientific objectives in order to be successful.

In answering the scientific objectives, these missions often raised a new, larger set of questions to be investigated by a subsequent mission. This is the scientific process at work, where hypotheses are tested and modified, and then tested again to develop broad general scientific theories.

God has given us the intellect to explore the Universe, and to test and retest hypotheses to increase our scientific understanding. But His Creation stands, and always will, in greater grandeur than we can possibly understand completely as humans.

“A scientific discovery is also a religious discovery. There is no conflict between science and religion. Our knowledge of God is made larger with every discovery we make about the world.” –Joseph H. Taylor, Jr.
(1993 Nobel Laureate in Physics for the discovery of the first known binary pulsar
and work supporting the Big Bang theory. Taylor is a devout Christian)
