What makes this special bible a favorite?
I have several bibles, and often enjoy reading and comparing the bible text and the study notes from two or more bibles.
For study bibles, I prefer those with the "thumb index" feature, and have several translations.
I have read "graphic novel" bibles which are heavily illustrated (like comic books), as this helped me understand the history in the Old Testament.
I also have a small, easy to carry, zippered copy of the Good News Translation (GNT) or Today's English Version (TEV), with color illustrations by Annie Vallotton.
