Welcome Shonda, Dorothea, and Raykit!
Do any of you ferment? If so, what?
I have an ongoing batch of Kombucha and every 3-4 batches I take half the S.C.O.B.Y. and feed it to the chickens. They love it!
I usually mix my Kombucha with Zevia soda, but from time to time I'll do a double fermentation with some dried fruit.
I also have an ongoing "Ginger Bug" I feed once every 10 days or so. From time to time I'll put it in a fresh jar and keep a little out to start a batch of fermented lemon ginger tea. Ohhhh so good!!
I also started fermenting my chickens some feed every other day.
I have in the past fermented Kimchi and Sauerkraut and am about due for a batch.
My daughter got bit by a tick and ended up with chronic Lyme so when she was younger and living with me I made her water and dairy kefir. I haven't done it for a while. I dried the grains and vacuum sealed them for future use.
Hmmm... what else? I have soaked seeds to break their enzyme inhibitors. Some consider this fermenting. Do you?
I can't wait to hear from you all.
Peace and Love to all who read this in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
