This week we learn about what in our flesh makes us unclean. What separates us from the community. In 2 Kings 6-7 we learn that an army surrounded Israel and the famine was so bad people began to eat donkeys, bird poop and their children. Later we learn that 4 leper’s save Israel. Everything these 4 men touched was considered defiled. If they entered a tent for any period of time the tent and everything in it was considered unclean. God used 4 unclean men to save the nation because no one in the nation had faith in God. The man the king leaned on said to Elisha that salvation could not come even if God opened the heavens. Only this man died. Later when the good news came to the King he did not believe it. Sometimes God has to remove the negative people from your life before you can move forward. Don’t be surprised when He uses people you think the least the of help save you.

God does delight in surprising us!
And He does use the most unexpected people to help or benefit us in some unexpected way.
There are people in our lives who are called Sandpaper People,
and God uses them to smooth off OUR rough edges.

Faith in the Great plans that God has for His people should be beloved and counted on. Give no consideration to the negative fear mongers that seek to enslave and control us!
