This week we celebrate Sukkot or Tabernacles. We read where Moses sees God after the sin of the Golden Calf. This is one of the times of year where we are commanded to present ourselves before the Lord. God is calling us back to Him. During Sukkot the Israelites are commanded to make outdoor living spaces called booths or Sukkots. These booths are to be open above where you can see the sky. This is to serve as a reminder of the time God took care of the Israelites in the wilderness. These structures are not to have a roof so nothing separates us from God. This season we are to have a closeness to the Lord like Moses had when he was on Mount Sinai. We are getting closer to the coming of our Lord and Savior. This season is to serve as a reminder that we are close to His return. I pray that in this season you will have a special encounter with the Lord that will take you to a deeper relationship with the Father.
