This week’s Parashat has Moses continuing his address to the people before they take the Promised Land. The best way to understand Moses’s speech is to divide it into 3 sections.

The 1st section Moses reminds the people of the experience at Mount Sinai. He goes into great detail telling about the experience. He is taking them back to that moment. He tells them to never forget what they have seen in the wilderness or that day at Sinai. He reminds them they never saw a being or a creature. What they saw cannot be created into an idol, so don’t ever create or worship anything made by your hands. Moses then tells them to teach their children. Share your experiences in the wilderness with them. There is only One God don’t ever forget Him.

The next section of Moses’s address, he reminds them of what God gave them at Sinai. He repeats the 10 Commandments. He then reminds them they were afraid to hear the voice of God. They choose to put Moses in the place of mediator between them and God.

In the 3rd section Moses tells the people to obey these Commands;

“Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

He tells them they are about enter the Land Promised to Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob. There is a warning to not allow the surrounding Nations to influence them. Don’t worship their gods. Moses tells them to live Holy lives before God. He tells them not to intermarry with these Nations. Moses then tells the people this key;

“For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure. “The Lord did not set his heart on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other nations, for you were the smallest of all nations! Rather, it was simply that the Lord loves you, and he was keeping the oath he had sworn to your ancestors. That is why the Lord rescued you with such a strong hand from your slavery and from the oppressive hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt. Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.”

Today our Nation is busing Illegal Aliens across our country. We are intermingling with people who will influence and change our Nation. God is the God of Nations. The Elites are pushing a One World Nation. They are pushing for the intermarriage of ideas and people which they control. Remind yourself of God’s Word and teach it to your children.
