It is Rosh Hashanah we have just entered 5784. The Jewish people read the story of the binding of Isaac. God tells Abraham to take his son Isaac to a place He would show him. God told Abraham He required Abraham to sacrifice Isaac. Abraham had such faith in God that he took Isaac and headed out to the place God showed him. We find out that the name of the mountain God told Abraham to go to was named Mount Moriah. Abraham takes Isaac up Mount Moriah lays him down and prepares to sacrifice him. You know the story an Angel of the Lord comes down and tells Abraham not to harm the boy. The Angel tells Abraham that he now knows that he fears the Lord.

We are in the season of Teshuvah which is a season of repentance. On Rosh Hashanah God writes our future for the next 12 months. It is believed that God created Adam and Eve on Rosh Hashanah. Rosh Hashanah is the moment our story begins. Jesus began His ministry during the season of Teshuvah. We know Jesus began His ministry when He was about 30 years old. We also know His ministry lasted 3 1/2 years. If He dies at Passover His ministry began at Sukkot or Tabernacles. We know before He began the ministry He was baptized by John and led into the wilderness for 40 days. Jesus was tempted by Satan and He passed the test at the moment our story began (Rosh Hashanah). Abraham passed the test on Rosh Hashanah. 2000 years ago at the same location Abraham passed his test Jesus was brought before the High Priest. At the same location God provided a Ram to take Isaac’s place, God has now sent the Ram, Jesus, to not just take Isaac’s place but everyone’s place. The Lord has provided on Mount Moriah at the Temple Mount the perfect sacrifice. The Jews read this every year yet do not have eyes to see the Messiah has already come.

Rosh Hashanah is the time of the RELEASE during the Shemitah and Jubilee years. I have great news for you. If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior every year is JUBILEE. Now is your season of RELEASE. Let the past go and walk through the DOORS of the new season God has for you.

We are now in 5784. We are in the decade of the MOUTH. This is the key to opening the DOOR of this season. We are created in the IMAGE of God and we CREATE the same way He does. We CREATE with the words that come out of our MOUTH. The WORDS that come out of your MOUTH will either OPEN or CLOSE opportunities in every area of your life. Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. What will you eat of this new year?
