This week we have a double Parashat. We begin with protocols for the Day of Atonement. We learn about the blood and that the soul is in the blood. We learn all the laws about blood and its importance. We then learn about all forbidden sexual practices. Then we are told what is Holy and how we are conduct ourselves. After this we are made aware of the consequences if we do not act Holy.
What I would like to focus on is something a lot of people won’t touch. The sexual sins are placed in categories. The 1st thing God tells us is that the Egyptians and the Canaanites both have done these detestable sexual acts and that is why they are being kicked out of the land and why God is giving it to the Israelites.
No sex with close relatives.
Don’t have sex with your Mother.
Don’t have sex with any of you Father’s Wives.
Don’t have sex with your Sister.
Don’t have sex with your Step Sister.
Don’t have sex with your Grand daughter.
Don’t have sex with your Aunt.
Don’t have sex with your Daughter-in-law.
Don’t have sex with your Brother’s Wife.
Don't have a sex with a Mother and her Daughter.
Don't marry your Wife’s Sister while your wife is living.
Don't have sex with a woman on her period.
Don’t have sex with your Neighbor’s Wife.
Don’t offer your Children to Molech (ABORTION).
Don’t have a Homosexual relationship.
Don’t have sex with animals.
Because of these sins the land is vomiting out the people and making room for new people. The land is the Lords and He rewards it to the Faithful.
Now today people say there is nothing wrong with watching Pornography. You can fantasize about an act without acting it out so no one gets hurt. Some say my mate doesn’t matter where I get my motor running as long as I park in the garage. Now look at the categories of sexual acts above. Each one of these is a category of Porn you can watch. These are some of the most popular Porn videos. These are direct commands from God, Himself, to avoid at all cost. Now I know you are saying that is the Old Covenant we live in a New Covenant and God gives us Grace. Jesus lived as a man and He understands so Porn is ok. There is no harm in watching occasionally. If you think that then look a Jesus words he said in Matthew.
Matthew 5:27-30
““You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.’ But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. So if your eye—even your good eye—causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your hand—even your stronger hand—causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.”
Jesus said it is better to lose a body part and enter into the Kingdom of Heaven than to be whole and go to Hell. The WORD says God is the same Yesterday, Today, and Forever He does not change. Sin is Sin no matter how hard you try to make it pretty and acceptable. Please, Please, Please heed my warning. Jesus is coming and time is running out. Don’t lose your inheritance for something temporary. Sex is temporary it is not Eternal. Don’t let temporary dictate your Eternity.
