People are not always honest on social media.

Things are not always what they appear to be.

People's lifestyles on social media can be misleading, even deceptive.

There are no shortcuts: the quest for instant success, fame, recognition will lead you straight into the trap of con artists, grifters and frauds. Don't try to bypass the process in your quest to become successful.

Not everyone is gold, some are gold-plated. They are experts in managing public personas and impressions through curated social media profiles but in private are the exact opposite of who they claim to be.

Exercise spiritual discernment.

Refuse comparisons. Reject the pull to compete. Avoid falling into the bait of complaining and grumbling.

The grass is not greener on the other side. It may look manicured and impeccable but it is just artificial.

Use divine wisdom. It breaks past the illusions of superficiality, diabolical charm and practised deception prevalent on most social media networks.
