This week we are still dealing with the blessings and the curses. The focus is to choose life or death blessings or curses. This weeks Parashat says multiple times I am giving you the choice life or death. Moses tells the people that their shoes nor their clothes wore out for 40 years. God sustained them in the wilderness. Has God sustained you in the wilderness of COVID?

God then continues to speak through Moses to let the people know that they are not the only ones God is making the covenant with. He is making it with them, their wives children and the foreigners and their servant that stand before Him today and the generations not yet here. All are bound by this covenant it’s blessings and. It’s curses.

Moses then goes on to say that you should not consider yourself safe because you are in the community of people who obey God’s Law. All the secret things you do, will be exposed and you will be cursed for your actions. Do not think you will be protected because of the actions of the righteous.

Moses then tells the people they will experience both the blessings and the curses. That when they come back to the Lord, He will restore their fortunes and show them mercy. He will bring them back home. We have a loving and forgiving Father who does not wish any curse to fall on anyone.

Many people have chosen to do things in secret. They have choose death. However it is not too late for them to choose life. Everything that has been done can be undone if you surrender and repent.

How can they know they can repent? That is what this week Parashat tells us in Isaiah.

“O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night, continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord. Give the Lord no rest until he completes his work, until he makes Jerusalem the pride of the earth. The Lord has sworn to Jerusalem by his own strength: “I will never again hand you over to your enemies. Never again will foreign warriors come and take away your grain and new wine. You raised the grain, and you will eat it, praising the Lord. Within the courtyards of the Temple, you yourselves will drink the wine you have pressed.” Go out through the gates! Prepare the highway for my people to return! Smooth out the road; pull out the boulders; raise a flag for all the nations to see. The Lord has sent this message to every land: “Tell the people of Israel, ‘Look, your Savior is coming. See, he brings his reward with him as he comes.’” They will be called “The Holy People” and “The People Redeemed by the Lord.” And Jerusalem will be known as “The Desirable Place” and “The City No Longer Forsaken.””
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭62:6-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

If you have secret sins now is the time to deal with them. The savior is here with open arms.
