This past week we began Teshuvah. At the same time our Parashat this week is about justice. I would like to focus specifically on Deuteronomy 17:14-20. This section focuses on the guidelines for Kings.
Deuteronomy 17:14-15
““You are about to enter the land the Lord your God is giving you. When you take it over and settle there, you may think, ‘We should select a king to rule over us like the other nations around us.’”“If this happens, be sure to select as king the man the Lord your God chooses. You must appoint a fellow Israelite; he may not be a foreigner.”
I believe this is relevant to where we are as a nation. We are 2 months away from choosing the USA’s equivalent of a King. The President is not a King, but he is the leader and headship of the nation. When we choose a leader he must be the one God has chosen. He must also be one of you not an outsider. Just based on these 2 verses there is only one choice this November. The word did not say choose a woman as your King. The word also said they must be one of your own. The one running is an outsider based on our laws. They are not a natural citizen. This person is part Indian from India. If we continue to read our Parashat this week it talks about not allowing people in who worship other gods. Nor anyone who offers children to false gods. India is known for their 1,000’s of gods they worship.
This nation is at a crossroads. We have to choose the direction it will go. We have to choose if we are going to be blessed or cursed. We have to show up in November like never before. We have to say as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.
The word trumpet or some form of it is in105 verses. Out of these 105 verses only 2 times is the word translates to TRUMP.
1 Corinthians 15:52
“in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
1 Thessalonians 4:16
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:”
What are the chances that 2 of the key verses speaking of the returning of Christ has the name of one of the candidates running for President. We are about to enter the end of legal time. Legal time is 2,000 years from the resurrection of Jesus. Legal time is between 2026-2030. If you have ever heard of Prophet Kim Clement he spoke about Trump being a Trumpet long before he ever ran for president. There are so many prophecies given by Kim Clement about Donald Trump it would blow your mind.
God has a habit of choosing people we never would. He chose David the skinny little runt. He chose Nebuchadnezzar and called Him his servant. This man was persecuting His Chosen People. God’s ways are above our ways. God chose Saul and changed his name to Paul. We are at a moment of time where we have to ask God how we are to vote. We don’t need to ask our emotions. We don’t need to ask our party. We don’t need to ask the media. We don’t need to ask family. We need to ask God and then do what He says.
