This week we start the story of Abram. This week’s Parashat covers Abram from age 75-100. A lot happens in Abram’s life during this 25 year period. We learn that Abram never built anything for himself. Everything he build was for God. Abram 3 alters to the Lord. We started the reading cycle over 3 weeks ago. We read about creation, the fall of man, Noah and the Flood, the sin that entered into the world through Ham and the Tower of Babel.

Look over the past 3 weeks we have had a government shut down. The beginning of this year we had a regime change. Just like the recreation story our nation is changing to something new. Our leadership changed laws to better serve true Americas (not illegals). There was a Big Beautiful Bill that changed where and how money was spent. After a period of time it has proven to work. Now just as evil entered the world again through Ham when he saw his Father’s Nakedness. Ham stole Noah’s ability to have another child in order to promote his own son Canaan.

Today Democrats have shut down the Government to take care of someone other that Americans. They have chosen someone who they feel would benefit them over the larger group of the family. Now we have group of Republicans who have not added person desires into bills to keep the Government open. They are not working to build a name for themselves like the Tower Builders. They are creating bills to serve and build up others just like Abram. We are seeing former Democrats leave their ideology to follow after something new. They are going away they have never been just like Abram did when he accepted the call from God.

Do you see how history repeats itself over and over again. God give us chances everyday to recreate our world and walk away from evil. There will always be those who bring evil back into our environment. We have to be brave and desire the things of God more. Today you can reset your world. You can make a change and accept the call of the Lord. The days are becoming short now is the time to act.
